Quran

It is the duty of every scholar and student of knowledge to convey the complete message of Qur'an and Sunnah. It is haram to conceal and tamper the message of Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa'la.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa'la says in Holy Qur'an:

Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allâh and cursed by the cursers. Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. (Al-Baqarah 2:159-160)

It is matter of pity that some scholars /students of knowledge either conceal the truth or mix the truth with falsehood and thus misguide people from the right path. Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa'la has prohibited both concealing the truth and mixing it with falsehood in the following verse:

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth). (Al-Baqarah 2:42)

May Allah give toufeeq to every scholar and student of knowledge to utter truth without tampering or concealing it.

Ameen.
