Brothers and sisters not long ago I shared with you all an article regarding McDonald's being confirmed as haram.
This awareness about Nando's is again on the same level of being doubted to be halal or not. Before going into any further detail I want to clarify the reason why I shared this? Mainly in the UK you will come across many disputes on this particular topic.. However the following hadith is my reason of staying away of such doubtful dining and InshaaAllah.. You can see the same.
“On the authority of Abu Abdullah al-Nu’maan ibn Basheer (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say, ‘That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful [or ambiguous] matters about which not many people are knowledgeable. Thus, he who avoids these doubtful matters certainly clears himself in regard to his religion and honour. But he who falls into the doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like a shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Verily every king has a sanctuary and Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibitions. In the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be sound, all of the body is sound and which, if it be diseased, all of the body is diseased. This part of the body is the heart.”
(Recorded in Bukhari and Muslim)
I strongly recommend wherever you are in the world, whether in a European country or non European, to check with the company before consuming any of their products. These publications have arisen to bring awareness, and it is our duties as a Muslim to avoid anything that is doubtful.
It was reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Anyone leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah shall compensate him a better one for that."
The following link will give you a better understanding regarding this matter InshaaAllah.
